As an upcoming premier Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) based in Gurugram, our mission is to cultivate the next generation of safe, highly skilled, and professional drone pilots. We are looking for motivated, DGCA-certified Drone Trainers specialized in Small and Medium category unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to join our team and lead our core flight training operations.

Role Objective

The RPTO Trainer will be directly responsible for delivering comprehensive theoretical knowledge (Ground School) and rigorous practical flight training to student pilots. The focus of this role is to ensure all trainees achieve top-tier operational competency, a deep understanding of aviation regulations, and uncompromising safety metrics for both Small and Medium category drone platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Ground School Instruction: Conduct classroom and virtual lectures covering the standardized DGCA syllabus, including Aerodynamics, ATC Procedures, Radio Telephony, Meteorology, Drone Regulations, and Emergency Protocols.
• Flight Training Execution: Lead hands-on simulator training and field-level live flight sessions for Small and Medium category drones, ensuring complete mastery of manual and automated flight modes.
• Student Assessment & Progress Tracking: Evaluate, grade, and formally log student pilot performance on a daily basis, ensuring they meet rigorous internal benchmarks prior to final evaluation.
• Fleet Maintenance & Flight Safety: Execute pre-flight and post-flight maintenance inspections on the RPTO fleet. Supervise field flight lines to maintain strict compliance with the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Compliance & Record Management: Maintain immaculate, audit-ready digital and physical records of student flight logs, attendance sheets, and curriculum progress reports required for DGCA inspection processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• DGCA Certification: Must hold a valid Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) and a formal, valid DGCA-approved Trainer / Instructor Authorization.
• Category Experience: Documented and verified logbook hours demonstrating operational expertise explicitly on Small and/or Medium category drones.
• Flight Hours: Minimum of 50+ logged, accident-free drone flight hours (instructional hours are highly valued).
• Educational Background: Graduate degree or Diploma in Aviation, Engineering, Aeronautic Studies, or a related technical domain.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of advanced flight controllers, autopilot systems, and Ground Control Station (GCS) software platforms such as Mission Planner, QGroundControl, or equivalent corporate suites.
• Communication Skills: High level of clarity and exceptional verbal/written communication capability in English and Hindi to successfully conduct academic and field modules.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior baseline experience training commercial remote pilots or background exposure within civil/military aviation instructional setups.
• Technical knowledge of industry-specific drone applications such as large-scale mapping, infrastructure inspection, or industrial operations.
• Strong problem-solving capability and calm leadership mindset when responding to field contingencies or training equipment failures.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
