Drug Testing Technician - Part Time

The Drug Detection Agency (TDDA) is the largest provider of workplace drug testing services in New Zealand, performing health and safety focused collection and screening of urine, oral fluid and hair samples from workforce personnel.

No formal qualifications are required from applicants as full training and assessment in required NZ standards will be completed before the commencement of work.  The required qualification is completed in a three day course run by TDDA - all expenses relating to this course will be covered by TDDA.

The position is part time though there will be a requirement to occasionally provide for other staff on leave.  There is also after hours on-call work (one week in four) on a rotational basis with the other staff members based in Invercargill.

The main requirement of this position is the collection of urine and oral fluid samples to detect the presence of illicit and prescription drugs. This is carried out in our clinic or mobile vans. There is also a requirement to do compliance and administration work including liaising with clients to book testing in.

The applicant must be honest, reliable and not afraid of hard work and sometimes long hours.  This is a demanding job at times.  You must also be computer literate and have great admin skills. The hours change on a daily basis due to testing requirements so we cannot provide a set start or finish time each day.   This position is 3 days per week.

A full Driver Licence is essential as the applicant will be required to drive a manual van.
