Drupal 10/11 PHP Developer - Long Term Remote Position

Role & responsibilities

You will work alongside our existing developers, supporting colleagues as well as taking responsibility for your own development work.

The role will include:

• Developing bespoke functionality and custom Drupal modules
• Developing and extending our own platforms and products
• Drupal 10 and Drupal 11 development
• PHP backend development
• APIs and third-party integrations
• Database development using MySQL/MariaDB
• Reviewing, maintaining and improving existing code
• Supporting colleagues with technically challenging development work
• Troubleshooting and resolving application issues
• Git-based version control and collaborative development
• Helping maintain good standards for code quality, security, testing and documentation
• Some support and development work across existing Drupal applications when required

This is not simply a website maintenance role. We are looking for someone who enjoys development and wants to help build software and products.

Essential Experience

Applicants must have:

• Minimum 5 years' genuine professional PHP/Drupal development experience
• Strong Drupal 10 development experience
• Experience developing custom Drupal modules
• Strong PHP and object-oriented programming skills
• MySQL/MariaDB experience
• REST API/integration experience
• Git experience
• Good understanding of Drupal architecture, services and dependency injection
• Ability to understand and safely work with existing code written by other developers
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a development team

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

• Drupal 11
• Drupal 7
• Drupal 10 Drupal 11 upgrades
• Symfony
• Complex custom Drupal applications
• SaaS/business platforms
• Multi-tenant applications
• Automated testing/static analysis
• AWS integrations
• CI/CD

Experience with Drupal 7/8 is also useful because WEBPRO continues to support some legacy applications, but the principal development direction is Drupal 10/11 and our newer products.

Working With WEBPRO

We are looking for an individual developer who wants to join and grow with our team over the long term.

You will work directly with WEBPRO and our existing developers, with regular communication through Microsoft Teams.
