Drupal Developer

The candidate must possess in-depth functional knowledge of the process area and apply it to operational scenarios to provide effective solutions. He/she must be able to identify discrepancies and propose optimal solutions by using a logical, systematic, and sequential methodology. It is vital to be open-minded towards inputs and views from team members and to effectively lead, control, and motivate groups towards company objects. Additionally, he/she must be self-directed, proactive, and seize every opportunity to meet internal and external customer needs and achieve customer satisfaction by effectively auditing processes, implementing best practices and process improvements, and utilizing the frameworks and tools available. Goals and thoughts must be clearly and concisely articulated and conveyed, verbally and in writing, to clients, colleagues, subordinates, and supervisors.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Drupal Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Drupal websites using Drupal 9/10/11, including custom modules, themes, content types, and configuration management.
• Website Maintenance & Enhancements: Implement content, functionality, and configuration updates, including page creation, component reuse, module enhancements, and ongoing change requests.
• Drupal Core & Module Management: Plan and execute Drupal core upgrades, contributed module updates, security patches, and compatibility validations across environments.
• Cloud & Hosting Operations: Manage and support Drupal hosting environments on Acquia Cloud, Azure, or similar cloud platforms, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and availability.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize website performance through caching strategies, CDN configurations, PageSpeed/Lighthouse analysis, database optimization, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
• Production Support & Troubleshooting: Conduct proactive monitoring, error log reviews, root cause analysis, bug investigation, and resolution of application and infrastructure issues.
• Database & Disaster Recovery: Perform database maintenance, backup validation, restore testing, and disaster recovery readiness activities to ensure business continuity.
• Security & Compliance: Apply security updates, perform vulnerability assessments, review user roles and permissions, manage SSL certificates, and support security audits.
• Accessibility & Quality Assurance: Validate website accessibility compliance, cross-browser compatibility, responsive behavior, and overall user experience across devices.
• CI/CD & Environment Management: Support deployment processes across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments using modern DevOps practices and version control systems.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain technical documentation, change logs, BRDs, operational runbooks, RCA reports, and monthly maintenance reports.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and client teams to understand requirements, provide effort estimates, and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.

Technical and Functional Skills:

• Minimum 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on Drupal development, maintenance, and production support experience on enterprise-scale websites.
• Strong expertise in Drupal 9/10/11, including custom module development, theme development, configuration management, Views, Taxonomy, Webforms, and Drupal APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Drupal core upgrades, module updates, security patching, site migrations, and enterprise website maintenance.
• Experience supporting Drupal websites hosted on Acquia Cloud, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of cloud hosting, infrastructure monitoring, application deployments, SSL management, backups, disaster recovery, and website operations.
• Then under Preferred Skills & Certifications:
• Experience with Acquia Cloud Platform and Drupal hosting best practices.
• Exposure to Azure cloud services, infrastructure management, and monitoring tools is a plus.
• Acquia Certified Drupal Developer or equivalent Drupal certification preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Acquia Certified Drupal Developer or equivalent Drupal certification preferred.
• Experience with Acquia Cloud Platform, Acquia Site Factory, or Acquia CDP.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services, cloud monitoring, and infrastructure operations.
• Exposure to HubSpot integrations, REST APIs, SFTP integrations, email automation workflows, and lead management systems.
• Experience supporting websites requiring high availability, performance monitoring, and 24x7 operational support.
• Familiarity with accessibility auditing tools, security scanning tools, and performance monitoring platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create technical documentation, support reports, runbooks, and client-facing deliverables.
