Job Description: We are seeking a Drupal Developer to join the team supporting two Drupal CMS-based web platforms serving healthcare organisations across Australia and the UK. Working closely with a Senior Drupal Developer, this is a hands-on role focused on platform maintenance, feature development, integrations, and technical improvements. You will collaborate with the Senior Drupal Developer, Technical Lead, and product stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions while contributing to the platforms’ ongoing evolution toward a modern, AI-augmented member experience. The role provides exposure to the full technology stack, including Drupal backend development and API integrations, React/TypeScript front-end development, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Maintenance and Support

• Work closely with the Senior Drupal Developer to support the ongoing maintenance and stability of both platform environments (DEV, UAT, PROD for AU and UK)
• Assist with monitoring and applying Drupal core, module, and third-party plugin upgrades on a defined schedule
• Support database health, SSL renewals, uptime monitoring, and cybersecurity pen test activities
• Assist with integrating platform infrastructure with cloud security tooling for continuous vulnerability detection
• Investigate and resolve support tickets across P1–P4 priorities within agreed SLA windows, working with the Senior Drupal Developer where required
• Contribute to monthly maintenance and security remediation reports for stakeholders

Feature Development and Enhancements

• Work alongside the Senior Drupal Developer to deliver incremental enhancements to the member portal and application under a structured SOW process
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Drupal-based integrations with Salesforce, Tableau, Databricks, Flatfile, payment gateways, and other third-party services
• Develop and extend React/TypeScript front-end components across the member portal
• Contribute to the development and improvement of user-facing features including personalisation, onboarding flows, event management, document libraries, and search
• Follow established development and release processes, ensuring work progresses through DEV → UAT → PROD with appropriate testing and documentation

AI and Platform Evolution

• Collaborate with the Senior Drupal Developer and technical stakeholders on the development and implementation of AI-powered features, including natural language search, content recommendations, and intelligent member experiences
• Assist with integrating LLM-based capabilities (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock) into the member portal where appropriate
• Contribute to the development of AI-augmented tools for content management, search, and member engagement
• Stay informed on relevant AI/ML technologies and identify opportunities to apply them to healthcare data platforms and member engagement use cases

Technical Quality and Security

• Follow the client's Platform and Product Security Policy SOP and ISMS requirements across all development activities
• Write and maintain unit, regression, and integration tests as part of the development and release process
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Drupal Developer to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain code quality across the platforms
• Manage all changes through Git and follow established deployment processes; no direct production changes
• Support the maintenance of STG environments as mirrors of PROD for accurate pre-release testing

Collaboration and Teamwork

• Work closely with the Senior Drupal Developer, Technical Lead, and product stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Seek guidance from the Senior Drupal Developer on complex technical issues while progressively taking ownership of assigned tasks and features
• Communicate development progress, technical issues, and potential risks clearly to the team
• Contribute to a collaborative development environment, sharing knowledge and learning from more senior members of the team
