Join our dynamic transportation team as a Dry Van Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various over-the-road (OTR) routes. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers equipped with dry van trailers, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with dry van trailers along designated OTR routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit
• Navigate using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations efficiently and on time
• Deliver freight to various locations, including businesses and distribution centers, while maintaining professional customer interactions
• Follow all hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials, if applicable
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with dry van trailers and over-the-road (OTR) routes
• Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments
• Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling and securing loads
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
• Understanding of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous substances
• Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance with DOT regulations, and hazard awareness
• Experience in delivery driving within logistics cargo handling environments, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety standards
