About the Role:

We're looking for a motivated apprentice to learn drywall finishing on projects such as offices, retail, healthcare, multi-family buildings, and single-family homes. You'll work as part of a larger crew, learning production taping and finishing to specified finish levels under tight schedules. No experience is required, but you need a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Mix joint compound and stage materials for the crew
• Apply tape and joint compound to seams, corners, and fasteners to meet specified finish levels (Level 4 and 5)
• Learn to use automatic taping tools, flat boxes, and spray equipment
• Finish large walls and high ceilings using stilts, lifts, and scaffolding
• Sand finished surfaces and keep work areas clean
• Coordinate with other trades and follow the general contractor's schedule
• Read basic plans and finish schedules
• Follow site safety rules and wear required PPE, including hard hat, vest, glasses, and dust mask

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand, bend, and reach for long periods
• Comfortable working at height on ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and stilts
• Reliable transportation and good attendance
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Ability to work as part of a large crew and keep pace with a production schedule
• Willingness to work overtime or off-shift hours when projects require it
• Willingness to take direction and learn
• Must be 18 or older
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions carefully while maintaining safety standards on busy construction sites

Nice to Have

• Prior construction or trade experience
• OSHA 10 card or OSHA 30 card (we can help you get this)
• Scissor lift or boom lift certification
• Vocational or trade school coursework

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
