Drywall Hanger

G & J Development, Inc. is seeking a Drywall Hanger to join our construction team. We are looking for a dependable, skilled individual with solid hands-on drywall installation experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and works well as part of a team.

This is a full-time position working on construction projects in Tucson and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall panels according to project plans and specifications.
• Hang drywall on walls, ceilings, partitions, and other areas as required.
• Accurately measure and cut drywall around doors, windows, electrical boxes, fixtures, and other openings.
• Fasten drywall securely to metal framing using appropriate tools and methods.
• Read and follow construction plans, drawings, and layouts.
• Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, and quality.
• Safely operate hand and power tools used for drywall installation.
• Work efficiently to meet project schedules and production expectations.
• Coordinate and work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on drywall installation experience preferred.
• Experience hanging drywall in commercial construction strongly preferred.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and hang drywall accurately and efficiently.
• Experience working with metal-framed walls and ceilings preferred.
• Ability to read basic construction plans and drawings.
• Knowledge of proper drywall installation methods, tools, and materials.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing and able to travel to job sites throughout Tucson and surrounding areas.
• Must meet applicable pre-employment requirements.
