Drywall Installer & Finisher /Painter

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Installer & Finisher / Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and painting drywall to create smooth, durable surfaces for residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Duties

• Measure, cut, install, and secure drywall panels using hand tools and power tools in accordance with construction plans and schematics
• Tape, mud (joint compound), sand, and texture drywall surfaces to achieve seamless finishes
• Repair damaged drywall or existing surfaces with precision to restore or improve structural integrity
• Prepare surfaces through plastering, caulking, and sanding to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Paint walls and ceilings using brushes, rollers, or airless paint sprayers; perform specialty finishes such as texturing or decorative coatings
• Install trim carpentry elements such as baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and fixtures in alignment with project specifications
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for accurate installation of drywall systems including metal stud framing and water damage restoration efforts

Skills

• Extensive experience with drywall installation, taping, mudding, texturing, and repair techniques
• Proficiency in reading construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
• Strong knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., knives, trowels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and specialized equipment like airless paint sprayers
• Ability to interpret technical drawings related to framing, plumbing (for wet areas), masonry work, and fixture installation
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines
• Knowledge of restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage repair is a plus
• Competence in various finishing techniques such as drywall texturing, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and remodeling projects
