Drywall Material Handler

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing building supply materials, ensuring accurate order picking, loading, and unloading. Your proactive approach will help maintain a smooth warehouse operation and supporting timely deliveries. This position offers an energetic environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload drywall materials using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
• Operate material handling equipment to move drywall sheets and related products within the warehouse efficiently.
• Pick, pack, and prepare drywall orders accurately using RF scanners and manual handling techniques.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and proper documentation of shipments via shipping & receiving procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse activities to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Assist in organizing warehouse space for optimal storage of drywall materials and related supplies.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by loading trucks and verifying inbound/outbound shipments.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management and shipping & receiving processes.
• Able to lift 75lbs
• Skilled in manual handling techniques with an emphasis on heavy lifting safety standards.
• Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
