About Us

Intermark Foods, operating as El Latino Foods, is a Florida-based distributor and brand of Hispanic refrigerated and frozen foods. We are building our own direct store delivery (DSD) operation in Texas, and we are looking for a hands-on leader to build and run it in Houston.

About the Role

As DSD Manager for Houston, you will lead our Houston DSD operation from the ground up: recruiting the field team, opening new stores and chains, and running the warehouse, fleet and cold chain day to day. This is not a role that inherits a system that is already running. You will build the system while you operate it.

You will report directly to the General Manager / President and coordinate with the Dallas DSD Manager.

What You Will Do

• Recruit, hire and lead the Houston field team: salespeople, DSD route drivers and merchandisers.
• Open new chains, independent stores and shelf space in the Houston market.
• Build and maintain direct relationships with store managers at Fiesta Mart, Walmart, La Michoacána and other chains that join us.
• Run day-to-day operations of the Houston warehouse, including fleet, cold-room maintenance and staffing.
• Ensure cold-chain compliance and quality standards.
• Manage inventory rotation so that product does not expire in the warehouse.
• Complete a physical inventory count every Friday.
• Deliver a weekly report to the GM / President covering sales, revenue, margin, new space captured and on-hand inventory with dates.

What We Are Looking For

• Current or recent experience running or scaling a DSD operation for perishable food products, preferably refrigerated or dairy. We are looking for someone who has built or grown an operation, not only managed one already in place.
• Store-level knowledge of the Houston market and of the Hispanic consumer across its neighborhoods and surrounding area.
• Track record leading mixed field teams: sales force, drivers and merchandisers.
• Existing relationships with Hispanic grocery chains in Texas (Fiesta, Joe V's, La Michoacána or similar) are a strong plus.
• Experience managing drivers, warehouse staff and a delivery fleet.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; both will be assessed in the interview.

Compensation and Benefits
