Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic DSP / Caregiver to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care to our residents, supporting their daily needs with kindness and professionalism. Your efforts will help ensure our residents feel valued, safe, and engaged in a vibrant community environment.

Duties

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide compassionate memory care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive disabilities
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments
• Administer medications following proper protocols and document all medication activities accurately
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition in accordance with dietary plans
• Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for residents and staff
• Engage residents in social activities, behavioral management, and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care best practices
• Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for transportation needs
• Familiarity with resident’s rights, geriatrics, and home & community care standards
• Proficiency in basic first aid and CPR to respond effectively in emergencies
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members effectively
