Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence.
• Provide personalized care tailored to each individual's needs, including medication administration and vital signs monitoring.
• Support residents with memory care, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and cognitive disabilities through compassionate engagement and behavior management strategies.
• Ensure safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques during transfers and mobility assistance.
• Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding when necessary, and maintain cleanliness in resident living areas.
• Document care activities accurately, communicate effectively with clients and team members, and uphold residents' rights at all times.
• Follow safety protocols such as first aid, CPR certification standards, and safe patient lifting practices to ensure a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, and home & community care practices.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism.
• Valid CPR and first aid certification; heavy lifting capability required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to perform routine cleaning duties and maintain a safe environment for residents.
