Job Overview
We are a new company seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP will play a vital role in supporting the individuals daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within a supportive environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and attentive support.

We are currently hiring for morning and afternoon transportation, Part-time afternoons, Full-time midnights, and a PRN or on call position.

Duties

• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor their health by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation to meet individual dietary needs
• Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer of individuals
• Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light cleaning duties to promote hygiene and safety
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and engagement to enhance individuals quality of life
• Provide transportation to and from work, day-program, and activities.
• Accompany them for outings, appointments, and vacations.

Requirements

Able to start and grow in a new company that will reward their employees accordingly with hard work and dedication.

• Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are required or preferred but not needed as we will train.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus and is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for transfers or mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work independently without constant oversight as well as in a team setting
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve individuals well-being
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations, ensuring privacy and confidentiality of information
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
• Able to work scheduled hours and be on time as well as completing work in a timely manner
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Driver's licience is required

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
