DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Job Summary
We are looking to hire experienced Male or Female Direct Support Professionals to work with Individuals experiencing Intellectual Disabilities.

Job Duties:

• Assisting client with creating a chore checklist for his weekly household chores.
• Assisting client to develop a menu, healthy meal planner and grocery list.
• Assisting client to calculate his monthly income (Gross income and Net pay)
• Assisting client to track his spending and also determine the expenses to cut back on or eliminate
• Assisting client to compare prices and determine the places to go for shopping.
• Assisting client to dress appropriately for the weather before going out for shopping.
• Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and any changes in health status.
• Support clients in social activities and community engagement.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for client at all times.
• Collaborate with family members, and other caregivers to ensure attentive care.

Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid
• US Work Authorization
• Clearance of Background check
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
