DSP (Direct Support Professional)

SRA, INC began in 1995, opening CILA homes to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a safe, loving, and homelike setting. Our goal is help the individuals we serve accomplish as much independence as they can, and experience community integration doing so.

Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential or community-based setting
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Support individuals in participating in recreational and social activities
• Assist with transportation to appointments, outings, and community events
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress

Experience:

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy

Requirements: Required to pass DHS background check, Pass DCFS/CANTS check, High School Diploma/GED , Valid Illinois Drivers license

Pay: $16.00 - $16.25 per hour
