DSP (Direct Support Professional)

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as part-time Direct Support Professional and Office Assistant. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to senior individuals with disabilities or special needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs under the direction of healthcare professionals
• Implement individualized care plans and support goals for each individual
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
• Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
• Document observations, progress, and incidents accurately and timely

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in direct support or related field preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus
• Ability to work with individuals with intellecual, developmental and aging disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
