DSP (Direct Support Professional) Day Program (Tabernacle)

Friends of Cyrus (FOC) is currently looking for responsible, caring, and compassionate Full-Time, and Part Time, Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Day Habilitation team. Fantastic opportunity for professional growth, while making a difference! Higher wages! Experience with DDD regulations Required. Preferred experience 1:1 with those with high acuity.

Prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities in a Day Program or Residential Program in NJ is essential.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting FOC program participants in their daily lives with activities including community outings, recreational events, cooking, personal care, and skill development
• Transporting FOC program participants to their activities, events, and places of employment
• Administering and supervising medication for FOC program participants
• Completing proper electronic documentation
• Ensuring FOC program participants are safe, healthy, and engaged in meaningful ways

Applicants must have:

• Patience and a desire to be helpful and engaged with clients at all times during program hours
• The ability to follow direction and adapt to changes in direction from supervisors and clinicians
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities/autism
• Clean driving record

The ability to be creative and find new ways to create engagement for assigned clients is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 - $23.00 per hour
