Summary

As a Direct Support Professional at Medicore Transport Inc., you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position is essential in helping our clients lead fulfilling lives while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support to clients in our day center.
• Assist clients with feeding, hygiene, and changes.
• Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with care plans if medication administration certified.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being and community involvement.
• Assist with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring clients safely.

Requirements

• Previous experience in patient care or home health preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and families.
• Ability to lift and assist clients as needed for daily activities.

• Hours are 9a-2p, Monday through Friday. 25 hours a week. Need more hours? We offer our Dsp's the ability to drive for us part time or to do home based care. Please inquire!
