DSP (Direct Support Professional) PAID TRAINING

We have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team! We’re currently seeking candidates for the position of DSP who are eager, outgoing, and passionate about making a difference through supporting and teaching adults with autism. The primary goal of Positive Solutions and Consultation, LLC. is to provide high quality services to adults with ASD through ABA (applied behavior analysis) interventions. With this position, you’ll be working closely with individuals in in-home and community settings implementing programs established by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

This position will require Registered Behavior Technician training for providing one on one personal care assistance to adults with ASD at home, as well as, community settings. For more information about the RBT certification go to https://www.bacb.com/rbt/

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old

High diploma required, a Bachelor's degree in Education, ABA, Psychology, or a related field (preferred)

Must be willing and able to complete training online

Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must have personal means of transportation with a reliable, insured vehicle, and proof of driver's license

Must demonstrate excellent time management skills

Must be willing and able to work with a collaborative team of professionals with the drive to achieve positive outcomes

Must be at ease working with children and adults with developmental disabilities

License and/or certifications:

A Driver’s license, and a reliable, insured vehicle

CPR certification, within the first 30 days of hire

Physical requirements: The ability to safely lift up to 30lbs., and ability to safely transfer from a sitting position to standing, stamina to walk or stand for at least 60 minutes.

Pre-employment requirements: BCI background check

Job Type: Full time and part time positions available for morning, afternoon, evening, and night shifts, 2, 4, and 8 hour shifts available throughout the week and weekends

Required experience: 1 year Working with children or adults with ASD or developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate caregiving and support to individuals in group home and assisted living settings.
• Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and document patient observations and report any changes in health status.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring compliance with health standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to foster a supportive community.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including first aid procedures, as necessary.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
