Responsibilities:

• Safely operate dump trucks
• ***MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION***
• Must maintain a valid DOT medical examiner's certificate (Medical DOT card)
• Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
• Experience: 2 years of verifiable experience driving commercial dump trucks or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo safety and security
• Navigate using GPS systems to reach destinations accurately and on schedule
• Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling standards
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks before and after trips to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Load and unload freight at various sites, ensuring proper cargo handling techniques are followed for hazardous or fragile goods
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving with tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, or specialized freight such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods is a plus
• Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight transportation across diverse environments
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types driven (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker)
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading
• Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning software for efficient delivery scheduling
