Dump Truck Driver

Overview
Brona Transport is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Dump Truck Driver to transport construction materials across the Maritimes. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stable, year-round work and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump truck safely and efficiently to transport construction materials
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections (tires, brakes, lights, signals, etc.)
• Complete and maintain accurate logbooks (electronic or manual)
• Prepare and manage transportation documentation (e.g., bills of lading)
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Ensure compliance with all safety and transportation regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience, including at least 1 year operating a dump truck
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts is preferred.
• Familiarity with freight handling and transportation regulations is essential.
• Experience with automotive repair or basic mechanical troubleshooting is a plus.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record required.
