Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, cargo handling, and adherence to safety regulations will ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries. Duties

• Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Load and unload freight, hazardous materials, or dangerous goods with precision while complying with hazardous materials regulations
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery across over-the-road (OTR) routes and logistics cargo handling sites
• Transport goods such as freight, construction materials, or specialized cargo like automobile transportation or refrigerated items to designated locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues, ensuring compliance with DOT standards
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations
• Collaborate with dispatch teams to plan efficient routes and manage delivery schedules effectively

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments
• Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for heavy cargo
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning and real-time tracking
• Ability to handle hazardous materials safely following hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods protocols
• Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers with manual handling expertise
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times
• Excellent driving record with experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and freight transportation
• Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety standards

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
