Casual First Aid Instructor - Dunedin

Workplace First Aid Training is looking for a passionate and engaging First Aid Instructor to join our growing Dunedin team. If you enjoy teaching, meeting new people, and empowering others with life-saving skills, this could be the perfect role for you.

This is a casual position based in Dunedin, with regular travel to Oamaru, Balclutha, Southland, Central Otago and surrounding areas.

About the Role -

As a First Aid Instructor, you’ll deliver engaging training sessions to a wide range of people and organisations. You’ll help participants build the confidence and practical skills needed to respond in emergencies.

No previous instructing experience? No problem.

Full training is provided through our comprehensive Instructor Induction Programme.

What We’re Looking For - You will ideally:

Be confident, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching

Enjoy presenting to groups of different ages, cultures, and backgrounds

Have excellent communication and presentation skills

Hold a full driver’s licence with a clean driving record

Have clean police record (verification required)

Have good computer skills

Be motivated and driven, always striving to go beyond expectations

Be willing to travel

Qualifications - you will either hold, or be willing to obtain:

Adult Education Qualification (minimum Unit 4098)

Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) qualification

Bonus Experience - While not essential, experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

Teaching or training

Health & fitness

Sport or coaching

Medical or healthcare fields

Surf Life Saving
