Duty Engineer

Job Summary

The Duty Engineer ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel's technical systems, facilities, and equipment while maintaining safety, engineering standards, and uninterrupted hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain hotel engineering systems, facilities, and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and respond promptly to work orders.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other technical concerns.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and engineering facilities.
• Ensure compliance with hotel engineering SOPs, safety standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Monitor contractor maintenance and repair works for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to resolve maintenance concerns and minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, work order, equipment, and incident records.
• Respond to engineering emergencies and escalate major concerns appropriately.
• Support energy and utility efficiency initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Licensed Engineer is an advantage.
• 2–3 years of engineering or facilities experience, preferably in a 4–5-star hotel.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
