Duty Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our vibrant team at The Hive Restaurant & Bar in West Kumeu, Auckland. As the Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and the efficient running of all bar-related activities. This is a part or full-time position in our dynamic hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage the team, including scheduling, training, and performance management
2. Oversee inventory management, stock control, and ordering of all bar supplies
3. Develop and implement innovative cocktail and beverage menus to drive sales
4. Ensure the bar area is well-maintained, clean, and adheres to all health and safety regulations
5. Foster a positive and customer-focused culture within the team
6. Analyse sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

What we're looking for

1. MUST HAVE LCQ AND/OR MANAGERS CERTIFICATE, PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT CONTACT IF CANDIDATE DOES NOT MEET THE ABOVE. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
2. Strong knowledge of bar operations, inventory management, and cocktail/beverage trends
3. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
4. Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems
5. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
