Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue's operations, including managing staff, handling customer enquiries and maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. You will provide hands-on leadership with a strong customer focus with a warm and friendly approach, confidently engaging with both locals and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead staff across all areas of the venue with a positive attitude
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue as the Responsible Person
• Lead day-to-day operations of the bar and front-of-house service areas
• Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues
• Monitor RSA compliance and patron behaviour
• Handle cash, tills and shift reporting
• Train and support team members
• Maintain venue standards and safety
• Assist with stock control and venue upkeep
• Support the Hotel Manager with day-to-day operations

About you

• Current RSA, RP & RSG 3 certificates required
• Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar Venue/Duty Manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
• Able and willing to work a rotating roster including weekend, public holiday, daytime and evening services
• Must have the right to work in Australia
