About the role
Richard Pearse Tavern Timaru is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our team. This is a key role covering nights and weekends, requiring someone reliable, confident and capable of running the venue when it matters most.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a busy shift and run the venue during nights and weekends
- Lead and support a team
- Deliver great customer service and communication
- Ensure host responsibility and liquor licensing requirements are met
- Make good decisions under pressure
- Lead from the front and get the job done
About you
- Current Duty Manager's Certificate – essential
- Previous bar/hospitality experience – essential
- Strong experience running busy nights and weekends
- Confident leading and supporting a team
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Strong understanding of host responsibility and liquor licensing requirements
- Reliable, organised and able to make good decisions under pressure
