Duty Manager

We’re looking for a Duty Manager to help run the team at Sugo!

About Sugo: Sugo is a modern Italian restaurant in the heart of Tauranga. Since opening in November 2020, we’ve become one of the Bay of Plenty’s top dining destinations. We’ve been featured in Cuisine magazine and listed in the Good Food Guide, and with almost six years of trading under our belts, we’re well established in the local dining scene. About the role: We’re seeking an upbeat Duty Manager to help with the hands-on, day-to-day running of the restaurant. We need someone with high standards and crystal-clear communication skills. You’ll be a team player with great initiative and a passion for providing the ultimate hospitality experience.

Sugo is open seven days a week for dinner, and for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm.

Skills and experience:

• A current Manager’s Certificate (required)
• Previous duty manager experience, ideally in a busy restaurant. You don’t need 10 years, just the desire to learn as you go.
• Bar service, wine and cocktail knowledge is ideal.
