Duty Manager – The Harbour Hotel, Galway

The Harbour Hotel, part of the MHL Hotel Collection, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our dynamic management team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading a team and maintaining the highest standards of service in a busy, vibrant hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring the smooth running of all departments.
• Lead, motivate and support team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling queries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Work closely with departmental managers to maintain operational standards and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety procedures and company standards.
• Support the training, development and performance of team members.
• Take responsibility for hotel operations during assigned shifts, including evenings and weekends.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar leadership role within hospitality.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A hands-on, proactive approach with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, particularly Front Office and Food & Beverage, would be advantageous.
