Duty Manager

Global Wines and Spirits Ltd T/A Big Barrel are looking for experienced Duty Manager, someone who is proactive, driven and enjoys working with & developing a great team of people.

We have 1 Full time Duty Manager role and 1 Part time Sales/Store Person available in the following location:

• Big Barrel Otaki -42B Main street, Otaki

How you will spend your days:

You will be supporting the Store Manager overseeing store operations including staff management, stock control, business development along with the day to day running of a retail operation.  This is an excellent opportunity to build your career, with full support from Management, as we grow and develop our business.

• Manage and motivate your team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
• Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, inducting, and training employees
• Manage stock levels, ordering, stock control, and stock tracking.
• Strategically plan the promotion of the business at a local level so that maximum customers can be attracted
• Daily cash reconciliation, petty cash, and banking
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the store
• Develop, execute, and manage merchandising programs for the store
• Ensure staff comply with Company policies and procedures
• Maintain security controls - cash, keys, alarms, and stock
• Ensure the business and staff Comply with Occupational Health & Safety guidelines

Requirements

• Must hold a current LCQ (Licence Controller Qualification)
• Liquor Managers Certificate preferred
• A clean character with no criminal background
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
• Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors

• This is a fulltime role Min 30 Hours.

• Competitive Hourly Rate from $25-$30 based on experience and industry knowledge
