Joining Growth Kitchen as a Duty Manager
At Growth Kitchen, we run delivery-led kitchens across England and Scotland and cook for some of the UK's best-loved food brands, including The Athenian, GBK and Coco di Mama.
As Duty Manager, you'll step up during our busiest services and run the site whenever the Kitchen Manager is off shift. You'll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and carry the same standards and responsibilities on every shift you lead.
What you'll do
When the Kitchen Manager is off shift, you're in charge of the site. During peak services, you'll lead from the line alongside them.
- Run the kitchen on your shifts, making sure every order across every brand is cooked to spec and leaves on time
- Lead, coach and motivate the team, setting the pace during busy periods and keeping standards high
- Keep food safety, hygiene and health and safety compliance spotless, including temperature checks, allergen controls and due-diligence records
- Manage delivery platform performance on shift: ticket times, order accuracy, availability and customer feedback
- Handle deliveries, stock rotation and wastage, and support stock takes and ordering as directed by the Kitchen Manager
- Open and close the site, completing all shift checks, cash-up and handover notes
- Deal with issues as they happen, from equipment faults to staffing gaps, and escalate to the Kitchen Manager when needed
- Support the Kitchen Manager with training, rotas and onboarding new team members
About you
- Experience as a Supervisor or Duty Manager in a busy, high-volume kitchen
- Confident leading a team on your own and making calls under pressure
- Strong knowledge of food safety; Level 2 Food Hygiene essential, Level 3 a bonus
- Delivery or multi-brand kitchen experience is a plus, but not essential
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends when our kitchens are busiest
- Reliable, organised and calm when the tickets are stacking up

- Competitive hourly pay:
- Part-time hours that fit around you, focused on peak services
- Training and a clear route to Kitchen Manager as we grow
