Dyno Test Technician

Honda Racing Corporation (formerly, Honda Performance Development, Inc.,) a leader in motorsports racing, is seeking a highly organized and detailed oriented Dyno Technician to join its Racing Program in Santa Clarita, California (North Los Angeles County).

Business Objectives:

• Operate engine dynamometers and component test equipment in support of development and validation testing.
• Perform engine/powertrain installation, removal, test setup, and test-cell changeovers.
• Install and maintain test instrumentation, sensors, fixtures, and specialized test equipment.
• Execute established test procedures and monitor test-cell operation to ensure safe and accurate testing.
• Perform routine inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair of Dyno/test-cell equipment.
• Identify mechanical, instrumentation, equipment, and test-system issues and support timely resolution to minimize Dyno downtime.
• Review collected test data for validity and accuracy and escalate abnormal results or equipment concerns.
• Maintain accurate test, maintenance, equipment, and engine-history documentation.
• Prepare and maintain required tools, fixtures, consumables, instrumentation, and parts to support upcoming testing.
• Support continuous improvement of Dyno procedures, reliability, consistency, safety, and test efficiency.
• Work effectively with Dyno engineers, technicians, Development engineers, and other supporting groups.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe test-cell and work areas.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on automotive/powertrain experience required.
• Dyno, test-bench, instrumentation, data-acquisition, or related automotive testing experience preferred.
• Automotive Technology coursework, technical certificate, or trade-school training preferred.

Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
