DZ Manual Driver

Job Summary

• We are seeking a dependable DZ Manual Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently using a manual-transmission vehicle.
• The driver will complete assigned routes, handle deliveries and pickups, and help ensure cargo is secured and accounted for.
• Applicants must hold a valid DZ driver’s licence and be qualified to operate the assigned vehicle. This is a paid position; employment details will be discussed during the hiring process.

Duties

• Operate a DZ-class vehicle with a manual transmission in compliance with traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver freight according to route instructions and delivery schedules.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, report defects, and keep required vehicle and delivery records accurate.
• Secure, load, and unload cargo safely, using a forklift or other approved equipment when trained and authorized.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members about deliveries, delays, or route changes.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and follow procedures for handling freight and delivery documentation.
• Report mechanical concerns promptly; basic automotive repair knowledge is an asset.

Skills

• Valid DZ driver’s licence and a safe driving record.
• Experience with commercial driving, manual-transmission vehicles, and freight transport.
• Ability to safely handle cargo and follow load-securing procedures.
• Forklift experience or certification is an asset; candidates must operate equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, time management, and clear communication.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently while providing courteous service.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 per week
