Position Summary

We are hiring atalented and detail-oriented E-Commerce & AI Visual Designer to create high-quality product imagery for our pet product brands. This role combines traditional e-commerce image production with modern AI-assisted image creation.

The ideal candidate is comfortable handling everything from basic image resizing, cropping, retouching, and formatting to developing highly realistic lifestyle imagery featuring dogs and cats interacting naturally with our products. A strong eye for composition, lighting, scale, realism, and product accuracy is essential

Responsibilities

• Resize, crop, format, and optimize product images for e-commerce platforms and retailer specifications.
• Create clean, consistent product images for online listings and marketplaces.
• Retouch product photography, including color correction, cleanup, background removal, shadow adjustments, and image enhancement.
• Create white background product imagery and polished product presentations.
• Maintain consistency in product scale, positioning, lighting, and image quality across product collections.
• Adapt existing creative assets into different dimensions, aspect ratios, and retailer-specific formats.
• Prepare high-resolution and web-optimized final files.
• Use AI image-generation and image-editing tools to create photorealistic lifestyle imagery featuring pets with our products.
• Create believable dogs and cats naturally wearing, using, playing with, sleeping on, or interacting with our products.
• Place products into realistic environments such as homes, living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, backyards, patios, parks, beaches, urban locations, seasonal settings, and retail or studio environments.
• Develop multiple lifestyle concepts from the same product for different campaigns, retailers, seasons, and marketing needs.
• Maintain accurate product construction, proportions, colors, patterns, logos, artwork, and materials when incorporating products into AI-generated scenes.
• Ensure pets interact physically and realistically with products, including correct positioning, perspective, scale, shadows, contact points, and body placement.
• Recognize and correct common AI-generation issues such as distorted products, incorrect anatomy, unrealistic paws, duplicated objects, inconsistent patterns, incorrect scale, and unnatural lighting.
• Develop attractive compositions that communicate product features while still feeling natural and aspirational.
• Select appropriate pet breeds, poses, environments, props, camera angles, and lighting based on the product and target customer.
• Create lifestyle imagery that feels like professional commercial pet photography rather than obvious AI-generated artwork.
• Work across visual directions including premium, playful, cozy, modern, seasonal, outdoor, and retailer-specific styles.
• Produce multiple creative variations efficiently while maintaining visual quality and brand consistency.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of image retouching, compositing, masking, color correction, shadows, perspective, and lighting.
• Experience creating imagery for e-commerce or consumer products.
• Strong experience with modern AI image-generation and image-editing tools.
• Excellent prompt writing and AI image-direction skills.
• Ability to use reference images effectively when generating or editing AI imagery.
• Strong understanding of realistic pet anatomy, poses, proportions, and behavior.
• Ability to realistically compose products with dogs and cats.
• Strong understanding of photography fundamentals, including composition, lighting, camera angles, perspective, depth of field, scale, and product placement.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify visual inaccuracies.
• Ability to follow detailed creative direction and maintain product accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple products and image requests efficiently.
• Experience working with pet products, pet apparel, pet toys, bedding, accessories, or related consumer products (preferred).
• Experience creating imagery for Amazon, major retailers, DTC websites, or online marketplaces (preferred).
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
• Experience creating product mockups and packaging imagery is a plus.
• Experience with AI workflows involving reference images, image-to-image generation, inpainting, compositing, and iterative refinement (preferred).
• Understanding of print artwork, patterns, fabrics, materials, and product construction is a plus.
• Portfolio demonstrating e-commerce product imagery, product retouching, lifestyle image creation, photo compositing, AI-generated or AI-assisted commercial imagery, realistic images featuring
• animals (preferably dogs and cats), and before-and-after examples showing development of a basic product image into a polished lifestyle image.
• AI-generated work in a portfolio should demonstrate realism, consistency, product accuracy, and strong creative direction, not simply image-generation ability.

Technical Skills (Required)

• Adobe Photoshop (advanced proficiency)
• Image retouching, compositing, masking, color correction, shadow creation, and perspective adjustment
• AI image-generation and image-editing tools (e.g., Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Firefly, or similar)
• Prompt writing and AI image-direction techniques
• Image-to-image generation, inpainting, and iterative AI refinement workflows
• Use of reference images to guide and constrain AI-generated output
• Background removal and white-background product image creation
• Photo compositing and realistic product integration into lifestyle environments
• Image resizing, cropping, formatting, and optimization for e-commerce platforms and retailer specifications
• Preparation of high-resolution and web-optimized final image files
• Understanding of photography fundamentals including composition, lighting, depth of field, camera angles, scale, and product placement
• Adobe Illustrator (a plus)
• Product mockup and packaging image creation (a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to visual accuracy
• Ability to follow detailed creative direction precisely
