E-Commerce Coordinator (Shopify)

Job Overview

E-Commerce Coordinator | E-Commerce / Drop shipping | Remote You will serve as the operational backbone of a brand-new drop shipping e-commerce business, owning the end-to-end launch and ongoing management of the online store. You will conduct product research, configure the platform, integrate suppliers, and keep the storefront running smoothly across three product verticals — all while acting as a trusted right-hand resource to the business owner. This is a high-ownership role where your decisions directly shape the success of the business from day one.

Client Overview

A growing e-commerce startup is building a new drop shipping business across three exciting consumer product verticals: beauty, travel attire, and health & wellness. The business owner is actively launching this venture and our client is looking for a skilled operational partner to take the lead on platform setup, product research, and day-to-day store management. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a brand-new online retail presence from the very beginning.

Schedule Monday - Thursday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM EST (20 work hours per week, remaining hours are flexible)

Responsibilities

• Research and identify high-potential products across target market categories (beauty, swimwear, health/wellness) using sales data and trend analysis
• Set up and configure drop shipping e-commerce platforms, including product listings, categories, and branding elements
• Integrate and manage supplier connections to ensure seamless order fulfillment and product availability
• Maintain a visually cohesive and professional online storefront that aligns with brand identity
• Handle day-to-day e-commerce operations including inventory updates, pricing adjustments, and customer support
• Evaluate and compare e-commerce platform options to recommend the best fit for the business model

Requirements

• Proven experience setting up and managing drop shipping e-commerce stores
• Strong understanding of product sourcing from international suppliers
• Ability to conduct market research and present findings in a clear, decision-ready format
• High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written communication skills for customer-facing interactions
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks
• Experience across multiple e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Woo Commerce, or similar) and ability to compare their strengths for different business models is a plus
• Background in or personal interest in the beauty, wellness, or fashion/travel apparel space is a plus
• Experience working directly with overseas or AliExpress-style suppliers and managing product quality standards is a plus
