E-Commerce Coordinator/Visitor Service Associate

Responsible for developing, implementing and managing a thriving, profitable e-commerce enterprise; Assisting the Visitor Services Director in ensuring optimal operation of the Museum store; and collaborating with Visitor Services colleagues to ensure a positive experience for all museum visitors.

Duties and responsibilities

· Responsible for adding new product to the web site, to include producing photos and writing product descriptions

· Check the web throughout the day for orders

· Promptly process orders, pull product and mail orders to customers

· Ring sales, give paperwork to Finance Department

· Promote monthly sale items

· Assist with Visitors Services as needed

· Keep track of stock on hand for the web

· Knowledge of and ability to carry out responsibilities of visitor services personnel

· Complete daily opening and closing procedures

· Prepare daily mail and UPS orders before 2:30 p.m.

· Manage stocking of all product in Museum Store

· Assist in processing/receiving new merchandise

· Ensure Museum is staffed during all hours of operation

· Ensure that visitor services personnel are friendly, knowledgeable and productive

· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications.

· Sound background in retail business; knowledge of inventory control, and accounting

· Sound verbal and writing skills; good organization skill; and self motivated

· Above average computer skills required

· Time management skills

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work well with others in a team situation

· Excellent customer service skills

· Experience with POS systems

· High School diploma; college degree preferred, minimum of 2 years retail experience/e-commerce sales

Physical requirements

• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and some climbing
• Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds

Pay: From $10.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24.0 per week
