About the Role

Shivalik Commerce Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a hands-on and responsible E-commerce Operations Executive to manage the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce business.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth order processing, warehouse coordination, inventory management, dispatch, returns, and customer support. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working closely with warehouse, logistics, customer support, and e-commerce teams.

The role requires someone who can take ownership of daily operations, identify issues quickly, and ensure orders and customer queries are resolved on time.

Key ResponsibilitiesE-commerce Operations

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce business.
• Monitor incoming orders and ensure they are processed and dispatched within the required timelines.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team for order picking, packing, invoicing, and dispatch.
• Monitor order status from placement to final delivery.
• Handle order cancellations, modifications, returns, replacements, and refunds.
• Coordinate with logistics/courier partners to resolve delayed, failed, damaged, or undelivered shipments.
• Ensure proper documentation and updating of order records.
• Monitor pending and exception orders and take timely action.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

• Coordinate daily activities with the warehouse team.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are available for online orders.
• Maintain accurate stock records and coordinate regular stock checks and physical inventory counts.
• Monitor inward and outward movement of inventory.
• Ensure proper picking, packing, labelling, and dispatch processes.
• Identify inventory discrepancies and coordinate with the relevant team for resolution.
• Ensure products are stored and handled properly.
• Coordinate with the purchase/e-commerce team regarding low-stock and out-of-stock products.

Customer Support

• Take ownership of day-to-day customer support operations.
• Handle customer queries related to orders, delivery, returns, replacements, refunds, and products.
• Support the Customer Support team in resolving escalated or difficult customer issues.
• Ensure customer complaints are addressed within the defined timelines.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve customer issues.
• Track pending customer complaints and ensure proper follow-up until closure.
• Identify recurring customer issues and share feedback with management.

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain daily reports related to orders, dispatches, returns, inventory, cancellations, and customer complaints.
• Monitor operational KPIs and highlight issues to the reporting manager.
• Coordinate with e-commerce, warehouse, logistics, accounts, customer support, and marketing teams.
• Ensure smooth execution during sales campaigns, festive periods, product launches, and high-order-volume days.
• Identify operational gaps and suggest improvements to improve efficiency and customer experience.

Required Skills

• Basic to good understanding of e-commerce operations.
• Experience in order processing and warehouse coordination.
• Understanding of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of returns, replacements, cancellations, refunds, and logistics operations.
• Good customer-handling and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and basic computer applications.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in e-commerce, D2C, retail, warehouse, logistics, or customer support operations.
• Experience working with platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, or other e-commerce platforms.
• Experience working with courier/logistics partners.
• Experience handling or supervising a small warehouse or customer support team will be an added advantage.
