E-Commerce Executive

About the role

We are looking for a proactive E-Commerce Executive with strong project coordination skills and commercial awareness to lead the development, launch, and ongoing operation of our company's own e-commerce website using WooCommerce. This role involves translating business requirements into website features and operational plans, coordinating internal teams and external service providers, and driving improvements in sales performance, customer experience, and long-term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan the website structure, product categories, page content, and shopping journey in line with business objectives.
• Lead the WooCommerce website development project, coordinating designers, developers, and service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Oversee the setup and integration of payment gateways, shipping, inventory, and order management functions.
• Coordinate testing before launch to ensure browsing, checkout, payment, and order notifications work smoothly.
• Oversee product listings, content updates, pricing, and promotional activities.
• Establish operational workflows and clarify responsibilities for order processing, inventory updates, customer service, and after-sales support.
• Monitor website issues and coordinate timely resolution with the relevant teams.
• Continuously improve product pages, navigation, mobile usability, and checkout.
• Analyse customer browsing and purchasing behaviour to identify barriers to conversion and implement improvements.
• Establish customer feedback processes to improve the shopping experience and customer satisfaction.
• Plan and execute website promotions and sales campaigns.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on SEO, social media traffic, paid advertising, and email marketing.
• Develop membership, customer relationship management, and repeat-purchase initiatives to improve retention and customer lifetime value.
• Monitor key metrics, including website traffic, conversion rate, revenue, average order value, and repeat-purchase rate.
• Review campaign effectiveness and operational performance, and recommend practical improvements.
• Develop action plans aligned with company targets and track their results.
• Work closely with marketing, design, IT, warehouse, customer service, and finance teams to deliver website initiatives.
• Define project requirements, responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage communication with external service providers and monitor their progress and service quality.
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term roadmaps for the company’s own e-commerce website.
• Evaluate new features, system integrations, automation, and market expansion opportunities as the business grows.
• Prepare proposals outlining budgets, resource requirements, and expected benefits for management review.
• Monitor customer needs and e-commerce trends to guide ongoing website improvements and business growth.

About you

• Experience in e-commerce operations, company-owned website management, or related projects.
• Familiarity with WooCommerce administration and e-commerce workflows; website development or launch experience is preferred.
• Understanding of how payments, logistics, inventory, orders, and customer service connect.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and drive delivery.
• Able to analyse operational data, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
• Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, customer relationship management, and conversion rate optimisation is an advantage.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to manage projects independently while balancing daily operations with long-term development.
