About the role

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented E-commerce Operations & Bookkeeping Assistant to manage our daily online store logistics and financial records. This hybrid role requires a unique mix of digital order management skills and foundational accounting knowledge. You will ensure our customers receive their orders accurately and on time while keeping our financial ledgers precise and up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Process, fulfill, and track incoming orders across our online sales channels
• Monitor stock levels, update product availability, and communicate with suppliers or warehouse teams
• Handle shipping delays, lost packages, and carrier discrepancies
• Respond to order-related inquiries, returns, exchanges, and refund requests
• Enter sales data, bank deposits, and expenses into accounting software
• Match payment processor payouts (e.g., Shopify Payments, PayPal, Stripe) with bank statements
• Process vendor invoices, schedule accounts payable, and track accounts receivable
• Prepare basic monthly financial updates, including profit and loss summaries

About you

• 1–3 years of experience in e-commerce operations, data entry, or basic bookkeeping
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon)
• Familiarity with accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo)
• Strong spreadsheet proficiency (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets)
• High accuracy in data entry and financial tracking
• Ability to troubleshoot shipping errors and financial discrepancies independently
