What they need
E-Commerce Customer Service & Order Operations Specialist
TikTok Live-Commerce Jewelry Business
On-Site | San Francisco, California
$25–$32 per hour | Part-Time or Full-Time
About the Role
We are a fast-growing jewelry company selling through high-volume TikTok LIVE auctions. We are looking for a reliable, highly organized person to take ownership of daily customer-service and post-sale operations.
This person will help ensure that customer questions are answered promptly, returns and refunds are handled properly, orders are processed accurately, and packaging or fulfillment problems are identified before they affect customers.
The position requires someone who is comfortable switching between customer communication, computer-based administrative work, and hands-on order checking. As our business grows, this person will also help us improve and develop practical procedures for managing customer service, returns, order accuracy, and other after-sales issues.
Responsibilities
· Manage daily customer-service messages and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
· Review and handle refund and return requests using good judgment and available order information.
· Inspect returned merchandise and help resolve discrepancies.
· Print and organize customer orders following livestreams.
· Monitor after-sales issues, including missing, damaged, delayed, or incorrect items.
· Help maintain packaging and order accuracy.
· Perform spot checks of completed orders and product trays to identify possible mistakes before shipment.
· Use order records, livestream information, and video receipts when researching discrepancies.
· Monitor negative reviews and assist with appropriate responses and resolutions.
· Keep clear and organized records of customer issues, returns, refunds, and unresolved cases.
· Communicate problems and recurring patterns to management.
· Coordinate with livestream, packaging, shipping, and warehouse employees.
· Help develop more effective procedures as order volume increases.
· Take on other related e-commerce and operational responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
· Experience in customer service, e-commerce, order processing, returns, fulfillment, quality control, or a similar role is preferred.
· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to notice small discrepancies.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Good judgment when evaluating customer complaints, refunds, and returns.
· Strong written communication skills and a professional manner with customers.
· Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, order systems, and online selling platforms.
· Able to investigate a problem, identify the likely cause, and follow it through to resolution.
· Able to work efficiently in a high-volume and fast-changing environment.
· Comfortable performing both administrative work and hands-on order checking.
· Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently without constant supervision.
· Willing to take initiative and help improve systems that are still being developed.
· Experience with TikTok Shop, livestream selling, jewelry, online marketplaces, or high-volume consumer orders is helpful but not required.
· No specific college degree is required.
Ideal Candidate
The right person is careful, practical, and accountable. You do not assume that an order or customer issue has been handled correctly—you verify it. You can recognize when something looks wrong, investigate the situation, and communicate clearly with the appropriate people.
You should also be comfortable joining a growing company where not every procedure has already been established. We want someone who can learn our business, handle current responsibilities reliably, and help us create better processes over time.
Schedule
This position may be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s experience and availability. Some schedule flexibility may be needed to support our livestream and order-processing schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends.
This is an on-site position in San Francisco.
Compensation
$25–$32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
