E Sports Coach

The Park Rapids School District is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as an E Sports Coach at Park Rapids High School for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of competitive gaming, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students. This role involves coaching students in various E Sports titles, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive gaming culture within the school.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for students participating in E Sports competitions.
• Coach students in strategy, teamwork, and individual skill development for various E Sports titles.
• Organize and lead practice sessions, ensuring a structured and productive environment.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Collaborate with school administration and parents to promote the E Sports program.
• Organize and participate in local, regional, and national competitions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages sportsmanship and respect.
• Stay current with industry trends, game updates, and competitive strategies.
• Maintain equipment and ensure that all gaming setups are functional and up to date.
• Assist in recruiting new players and promoting the E Sports program within the school community.

Requirements

• Previous experience in coaching or competitive gaming is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of popular E Sports titles and gaming strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for practices and competitions.
• A passion for gaming and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for student athletes.
• Relevant certifications or training in coaching or gaming is a plus.
• Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.
