E&I Engineer, Project Management

About the role

Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for industrial and building services projects. Coordinate engineering activities from design through installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with technical specifications and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review, and prepare electrical, instrumentation, and control system drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Develop single-line diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and PLC/BMS control designs.
• Perform electrical load calculations, equipment selection, and protection coordination.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout project execution.
• Review technical submissions, material specifications, vendor drawings, and equipment datasheets for compliance.
• Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical panels, PLCs, field instruments, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Conduct FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure system reliability.
• Provide technical support for preventive maintenance, system upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, electrical safety standards, and company quality management systems.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical and control engineering within industrial, manufacturing, utilities, semiconductor, data centre, or building services environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, PLCs, HMI, SCADA, BMS, instrumentation, motor control, and industrial communication networks.
• Experience in electrical design, control panel systems, testing & commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Good analytical, communication, coordination, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
