E&I QA/QC Inspector

Core Responsibilities

• Site Inspections: Conducts visual and dimensional checks on materials and equipment upon arrival and throughout installation.

• Testing & Verification: Witnesses and verifies critical tests, including:

• Electrical: Continuity, insulation resistance (Megger), high-potential (Hi-Pot) testing, and grounding/earthing checks.

• Instrumentation: Loop checks, functional testing of control systems (PLC/DCS), and calibration of transmitters (pressure, level, temperature).

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepares and manages Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Control Procedures.

• Issues Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for defects and tracks corrective actions.

• Maintains Request for Inspection (RFI) logs and verifies "As-Built" drawings.

• Technical Oversight: Reviews material certificates and ensures all tools used for testing are properly calibrated.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Typically requires a Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: Often requires 3–10 years of experience, particularly in industries like Oil & Gas, Power Plants, or Infrastructure.
• Certifications: Specialized certifications such as CompEx (Hazardous Areas), or IECEx Certifications
