E&I Technician

Key responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment across operational facilities
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation components to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards
• Troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation malfunctions and implementing timely solutions to minimise operational downtime
• Conducting routine inspections and testing of electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation devices
• Documenting maintenance activities, test results, and repair work in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with other technicians and engineering teams to support project implementations and system upgrades
• Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental protocols whilst performing assigned duties
• Supporting the training and mentoring of junior technical staff as required

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or a related technical discipline
• Proven experience as an E&I Technician or in a similar electrical and instrumentation maintenance role within the oil and gas industry
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, process instrumentation, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calibration instruments
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and safety regulations relevant to electrical and instrumentation work
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Good communication skills and the ability to document work accurately
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to operational sites as required
• Preference for candidates with experience in offshore or remote operational environments
