Position Details
Role Title: EAP Counsellor (Psychologist/Social Worker/Rehabilitation Counsellor)
Location: Devonport, TAS
Role Type: Contractor (2 days a week available)
  
About You

• Tertiary Qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work or Masters in Psychology
• Registered with ASORC, AASW or AHPRA
• Experience providing counselling, EAP, workplace wellbeing, or mental health services
• Professional indemnity insurance
• ABN and ability to work as an independent contractor

The Role

• Provide confidential, short-term counselling to EAP customers (workers or their immediate family) experiencing personal, psychological, or work-related concerns
• Assess client needs, identify key issues, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic strategies, psychoeducation, and practical coping techniques
• Support customers to improve wellbeing, resilience, and functioning through solution-focused and recovery-oriented interventions
• Maintain professional, ethical, and privacy standards, ensuring counselling information remains confidential except where required by law or safety obligations
• Document any customer liaison, sessions, interactions in a professional, appropriate, and timely manner within the client management system (VINCI)
• Maintain accurate billing and invoicing records and provide RM with itemised invoices that accurately reflect work undertaken
