Early Childhood Educator

Responsibilities

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will:

• Plan and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's development.
• Create a warm, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Observe and document children's learning and developmental progress.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Follow licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Educator Certificate (Level 1, 2, or 3, depending on provincial requirements).
• Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
• Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for working with preschool-aged children.
• Experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting is considered an asset.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• No weekends, One occasional evening per month (monthly staff meeting)

Pay: $15.00-$29.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
