Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's progress and well-being
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities using computer systems
• Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum and classroom routines
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements
• Assist in organizing classroom materials, resources, and learning tools to ensure an organized learning space
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with early childhood education best practices

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is required
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred
• Classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a strong asset
• Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities are essential
• Familiarity with computer operation, classroom management software, and documentation tools is necessary
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
