Early Years Educator

Overview

Join us as an Early Years Educator and play a vital role in nurturing and inspiring young children during their formative years. This role is set within a Forest School nursery, therefore you will be outdoors in all weathers. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
• Supervise children during playtime, learning sessions, meals, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
• Foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence among children
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, needs, and achievements
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that supports safe play and learning experiences

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children, especially in outdoor environments
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and best practices
• Excellent communication skills in English to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to organize activities that stimulate learning while ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Valid driving license preferred due to no public transport to the nursery
• Passionate about childcare with a genuine desire to support children's growth and development

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
