Early Years Educator

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education principles and developmental milestones
• Create a welcoming environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety at all times
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals to support individual needs and progress
• Lead small groups of children in daily routines such as mealtimes, naps, and learning sessions
• Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and daily activities
• Support the management team in implementing policies related to childcare standards and health & safety regulations

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
• Demonstrated management or leadership skills in supervising young children or team members
• Strong communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues
• Knowledge of childcare best practices, early childhood development theories, and nursery curriculum standards
• Experience with child safeguarding procedures and maintaining a safe environment for children
• Ability to drive is considered an advantage for transporting children or supporting outreach activities

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
